It might be easier for you just to go to my web site that shows the swap and talks a little about it.

 

The engine is a 1986 GL that has been stripped of all the smog crap and fuel injection removed and replaced with a Weber 2 barrel carb. It uses an 091 VW transaxle and has a Kennedy engine adapter. I also had to put a distributor from an 1987 Subaru XT as the original one did not have a vacuum line on it.
