idea for more cabin fumes

Featured Replies

I am considering building a stack exhaust system for my 91 loyal. I know I've seen them on here, but I can't seem to find it using the search button. I am wanting to go 90 degrees off the cat to a cherrybomb out of the hood and maybe up an inch or two topped with one of those tractor flap things. Also, I have no emission standards where I am, so I was considering removing the cat. As long as I keep the O2 sensor, will this cause issues?

If you have pics of your exhaust, please post them.

P.s. the reason for those type of exhaust system is that the PO removed all of the exhaust hangers. I also like the idea of having something a little different. (Not that a lift Soob with oversized murders isn't already different!):D

More cabin fumes? That's easy! You route the exhaust right up through some 2" holes you cut in the floor.:lol::lol::lol::brow: Sorry couldn't resist based on the name of the post......

Seriously though, it would be tough to do with the CAT on. If you're in a non-emission area, let your kitties go. You'll need 2 mandrel bent 90 degree pieces to weld to the 'manifolds' so they go straight back parallel to the heads, then 2 more 90's to come straight up. From there, you just mix and match angles/pipe lengths and cherry bomb sizes to get where you want.

Sounds easier than what I was going to do. My concern was that the O2 sensor would not work properly without the cat.

Won't affect it at all. The concern here would be enough back pressure to ensure the sensor stays hot enough to function properly. I only see that as a problem if you are going to do dual exhaust.
