Bluetooth Voice Recognition

Featured Replies

I have a 2012 Legacy Premium and have paired my Blackberry Bold 9700 phone to it. The problem is getting the Subaru to recognize phone numbers. I press talk and speak a number but it shows a different number, sometimes with an * in it. I have tried changing my voice, speaking closer to the mike, but nothing works. I wanted to send the number from my phone but it doesn't show that capability. This is frustrating. I can only see using it if I dial the nuber from the phone and use the Sub for hands free talking.

Has anyone else had issues with the voice recognition and/or Bluetooth?

Most of the people on here own older subarus... but hopefully someone can help.

What does the system use as a microphone? Is it something built into the dash? If it is doing this with no background noise maybe the system has a defective mic or something like that. for a brand new car maybe you can address this as a warranty issue?

Good points. I will check into the warranty aspect. The mike and speaker are in the front dome area where the sunglass drawer is found.

Hm I wonder if it has any option for training it like other speech recognition software.

Nice soob btw! I may own one of those in about 15 years :D
