turn signals not working

Featured Replies

I just bought a 95 legacy wagon on the trip home the signals worked on and off now I can't get them to work at all. But the hazzards work fine. Just not sure where to start looking. Thanks in advance.

That's kinda where I was leanining. What's the chance one off a 92 legacy will work on my 95 legacy.

So yes the stalk is the same from the 92 changed it out and tried it before I put it back together and they worked fine, I put it back together and nothing. So I started looking around and I can get them to work when I'm messing with the flasher. But if the flasher is the problem why do the hazzards work and what's the chance the flasher I just bought from autozone is also bad

The wiring for the turn signals/flashers are routed through the hazard button. So if that button is bad or not working properly, then the turn signals may not work.

Did you buy a new flasher button or relay from autozone?

Well if the new stalk didn't help, it could be an issue with the wiring. Like I mentioned, the wiring for the turn signals go through the hazard button, so if the turn signals come on with the hazards, there's an issue between there and turn signal stalk...or the turn signal stalk you got is bad.

You can d/l the factory service manual with wiring diagrams from me to do some more troubleshooting.

i would put money on this being the problem.... its right where the cup holder is and somebody may have hit the brakes too hard and shorted out a couple contacts on that hazard switch.... and if you hafta play with the hazard switch to get it to work....theres ur sign.

lol

good luck :)
