Diablo9420 Posted January 3, 2012 Share Posted January 3, 2012 I have a stock ej18 in my 95 impreza and i have a k&n air filter just sitting in my room from my maxima, and i wanna put it in, i realize i need the adapter plate but what do i do with the hose thats hooked yo the air box? or can i not use the filter? WoodsWagon Posted January 4, 2012 Share Posted January 4, 2012 You won't get any more power because the stock airbox is used in 300+ hp turbo subaru's. You may also have MAF sensor problems because of oil mist coming from the K&N filter element coating the sensor wire. If you want more intake noise, take off the intake muffler inside the fender.
