I have a stock ej18 in my 95 impreza and i have a k&n air filter just sitting in my room from my maxima, and i wanna put it in, i realize i need the adapter plate but what do i do with the hose thats hooked yo the air box? or can i not use the filter?

You won't get any more power because the stock airbox is used in 300+ hp turbo subaru's. You may also have MAF sensor problems because of oil mist coming from the K&N filter element coating the sensor wire.

 

If you want more intake noise, take off the intake muffler inside the fender. You get at it by pulling down the plastic wheel well liner.

ok thanks, really 300hp? thats crazy i wish mine made that much lol, and it wasnt really for noise or power, just bored and had it sitting around lol

Sell it to some ricer kid for like $20.
