January 4, 201214 yr Hey guys, i am new to the forum, but old to subies. EA81's are my thing. just got my third-it is the 83 convertible from louiville. 86K -oh, and the leather is corinthian. about me: previously had an 83 wagon -which I drove for ~10 years, then an 88 hatch -which i drove mercilessly for 10 years also. 5 yrs i been missin 'em. Larry Owens' book sort of helped change my perspective back in the day...Also i am with the carb camp and have done many varieties. anyhoo, i just finished the ghetto fab resto of the plastic windows, and am getting the Weber swap lined out. great little runner and the car gets some looks! seeking threads on engine bay cleanup/what to do with silencer junk, etc. at the moment. i'll put up some pics here in a bit... January 4, 201214 yr Cool and you have quite a rare one, pics will be nice. Not too many of these are owned, mainly just alot of pics floating around that is about all.
