J A Blazer
I need to chase the threads in the block before relocating my knock sensor to its proper location. (When I replaced it recently I was concerned that the threads were messed up, and rather than risk cross-threading, I positioned the knock sensor in an alternative location nearby.) 2000 OBW 4 cyl. Anybody know the thread size and pitch? TIA.
idosubaru
it is 1.25 pitch threads. diameter - probably M8x1.25 if you find another 12mm bolt that looks just like it in the engine bay - or the 12mm rear 12mm drive shaft connecting bolts, they'll be the same threads. J A Blazer
All the bolts I'm finding have a 13 mm head.
Gloyale
All the bolts I'm finding have a 13 mm head. Factory Subaru Bolts would be a 12mm head. But, when you buy bolts from the hardware or autoparts stores, they almost always have a 13mm head. Either is fine, just the 8mm x 1.25 thread pitch needs to match.
