Is it actually worth installing speedy sleeves on the cams, there is a slight groove on them, 196.000 miles worth , I'm just hesitating on spending 35 dollars a piece on them.

You can set the seal where it is just past the groove. Try not to bottom it out all the way, though.

If you compare the new seals with the old seals and measure them in relation as to where the main seal lip is, you may find the new seal has that main seal lip in a slightly different location.

 

Different brands can be slightly different.
