my cam seal holder , or what ever there called . from a 1986 gl carbed ea82.

has a v shaped seal , I was under the impression that they were o rings . any way , I cant seem to find one locally, can I use an off the shelf o ring , or do these half to be v shaped .. thanks

Cam retainer. They are round o-rings. the 'v' shape is just from age and being squished.

+1 on both points - the cam seal sets have the seal and oring and they're just standard orings, the V shape is due to usage.
