86 Standard brake woes :(

Featured Replies

got car back after it was gone... it's a bit trashed. got new hubs and tires and re-assembled the dashboard/steering/etc.

brakes don't work though.

when I got it, there were no pads on the front and the pistons in the brake calipers had been extended out for months.

the boot on one of the calipers is rotting and that caliper seems to be slow but "working" still.

brake pedal goes to the floor. bled the lines as best I could... would only flow for a few seconds before pulling fluid backwards (with friend holding pedal down) -- bad master cylinder?
