March 15, 201214 yr Hi ALL! I opened the PAss door yesterday, heard this load snap, said a few things out load, then looked around inside of my door. That thing that slides in-and-out as you open the door snapped were its bolted to the body of the car. Now the slide thing doesn't slide anymore! I don't know if it failed to slide, then when I opened the door it broke it off, or what ! So the question IS.....can it be easily fixed without taking the door apart ? I can see there are a few bolts that can be gotten to on the outside (of the insdie of the door ) of the door. I have a 2001 Legacy GT Wgn. Just what is that part called ??? Many thanks, SubeeTed
March 15, 201214 yr Looks like its called Checker assembly-front door, 62302FC002 (Item 11) http://opposedforces.com/parts/legacy/us_b12/type_30/body_equipment_exterior/front_door_panel_and_rear_slide_door_panel/illustration_1/ Looks like it requires entry into the door to replace the assembly
