May 28, 201213 yr Author Yeah, I applied a little too much solder so there is kind of a "bump", but it overall looked like the joints I observed on youtube.
May 29, 201213 yr You should be ok. The secret to getting a good solder joint is to apply a good amount of heat to the joint while flowing the solder to it and then quickly remove the heat after you have enough solder applied. Then don't move the joint until the solder has hardend. yep I remember when it took me awhile but now it's like nothing.. Just make sure you have a firm grip on the iron and don't let a 40w iron fall down between your fingers!
