oh and they moved the fwd fuse to under hood fuse box on later models is clearly marked in fuse box

That opens several other possibilities. How long after the replacement of the driveshaft did this vibration begin?

 

its been a good 3-4 months.. between driveshaft failure and banging noise.

the transmission mount is a good possibility (i never checked it)

 

tomorrow is sunday so i can actually work on it.

Well at liest that issue. Lol

 

It ended up being the carrier bearing mounting bushings.

Do those that dont know, the carrier is held in with 2 bolts. Those two have rubber/steel bushings to keep vibrations from entering the cab.

I ended up having 1/2 of those 2 piece bushings backwards on each bolt. There for when the bolt was tightened down. The carrier assembly was still able to move up and down a good 1/4". After up and down with the bolts a good 5-10 times I finally noticed it was the bushings.

Put back correctly and bam, no noise.
