91 Legacy Lifter Knocking

Featured Replies

I have a 91 Legacy with an EJ-22. A lifter, tappet, whatever you wana call it, on the passenger side is knocking. I have replaced the lifter with a new one...still knocked. I moved the new lifter from that position to another position, the known good one I put in that spot began to knock. I took off the rocker assembly and blew out all the oil holes...everything is clean that I can tell. When I move a different lifter to that position it dosent knock right away, takes about 10 minutes or so... What gives here? Magical powers making that spot not pump oil to the lifter? It's a freakin tube, how can oil not be making it through an empty tube that seems to be delivering oil to every other lifter?!?!?!

Leme know what you think.
