September 3, 201213 yr While driving and after driving it drips out slowly.. Any quick cheap fixes to stop this? I tried White Shepard oil leak stop with no success... Any thing I can do or look for?? Any help is appreciated....
September 3, 201213 yr Where exactly is it leaking from? Seals dry out/harden over time and you likely need one or more; no additive I know of will fix time. The front output seals are available from the dealer, I got 2 last year because mine were hard as a rock. They leaked just sitting!
September 5, 201213 yr Find the leak yet? I'm about to start and drive mine for the first time in 15 years- should be interesting. I plan on having a few oil leaks from somewhere...
September 7, 201213 yr Could be the shifter linkage seal. I have been told that they leak like crazy. I believe it to be my issue as well. Mine literally drips out as she sits. Lubed my whole undercarriage though, lol.
September 18, 201213 yr Author Its supposingly the rear Tranny seal. Got one as well as I needed 2 lower arm bushings and one tie rod end. My steering on my brat was a little sloppy. Found all the parts on ebay and my mechanic will be making it all swell soon.....
September 18, 201213 yr Author I live in an apartment complex and we can really work on cars here. I dont have the tools or the experience as well.....
September 19, 201213 yr Oh, got ya on that. I have worked my way from a single apartment to a double to a rental to a bought home. I now have three car garage and remember doing oil changes in my apartment parking lot. Well at least you are getting it done either way.
September 22, 201213 yr I just did both my outer tie rod ends. Took about 45 minutes. Getting to know your car is invaluable. You should put them in.
