whats your opinion on mounting a electric winch up side down? i dont think it would hurt it but what do you guys think? im going to eventually mount my winch on my 85 brat's winch bumper and i dont want it on top because i just installed the third eye so should i make a custom mount to make the winch mount like it normally would on top but on a special mount or just flip the winch over and call it good?

I may be wrong....but i think itd be fine, unless it has a gearbox with oil in it.

Most of them have a drain hole for water and condensation.

 

Mounting it upside down may cause it to fill with water, and eventually crap out.

 

Moving the mount below the bumper is fine, but the winch should be upright.

Correct! Except that the fluid will drain out the vent IF it has one. Like G said, mount it under but upright.
