December 30, 201213 yr The Boy and I removed the head and replace the gasket. We installed the belt and pulley to run it. It ran great them installed the plast and it won't start now...Crap. What now?
December 30, 201213 yr what is the "plast"? plastic covers wouldn't cause a no start. any check engine light codes? timing belt(s) are probably off one tooth.
December 30, 201213 yr I assume you mean the T-belt covers, and pull off the easy-side covers (since the middle one requires you to remove the crank pulley) and 1) make sure they're still spinning, and 2) make sure the timing is still on. Sometimes, the rear covers are old/warped and when pulled together with the front cover, can bind on the cam sprocket causing it to seize and either jump the belt or break it..
January 1, 201313 yr Author Thanks for the info! I was not on my computer all day and found what I did wrong. Or just not far enough any way. I had broken the clips on the harness and it had pulled part of the way out. Thanks again, Eric
