I just purchased a 2000 outback and was looking at timing belt kits. Came across a kit for a 2000 legacy from one company due to their outback kit starting at 2001. My question is, engine wise, is there any difference between the outback and legacy from 2000 to 2004?

No difference at all that I'm aware of, they should both be ej251 designations.
