im trying to find the right starter for my 83 turbo auto 4wd. they have 2 different types

Not sure what the top starter is for to be honest but the second one is what you want. You know if you want to save some money you can rebuild your starter for about 2-3 bucks lol. It probably only needs new brushes. They are very easy to get to once the starter is out and on a table.

didn't come with a starter so rebuilding isn't a option and thanks the people at the parts stores were not very helpful

the second one looks like the typical ea81 starter, the other reminds me of the ea81 style top mount starter
