January 26, 201313 yr i cant find any shifter linkage bushing for my loyale. i have looked online and have not come up with anything. would it even be possible to put in a newer shifter and linkage in to my loyale? been searching to see if anyone has on usmb cant find nothing

January 26, 201313 yr Fairly sure someone on here did a DIY shifter bushing fix for the EA82 5-speed trans using hardware store parts. Didn't see it in the USRM, but it should've been there. Was pretty good fix. Been roughly 1-1/2 to 2 years, I think

Been roughly 1-1/2 to 2 years, I think I was able to find some plastic bushings close to the same od as the shifter, I had to buy a metric drill bit to ream out the id just a little .. 1/2 inch od was very close , needed to sand it just a little and a 3/8 drill is is real close to the id . then I used a hacksaw to cut the bushing to 1 and 1/4 inch in length.
