right, so this is my new to me 88 subaru GL. i got it from ricearu's brother, and it has seen better days.

 

 

current plan are give it a deep DEEP clean, slap the ea82 together and hope it last long enough to pluck the ej18 out of my impreza and get everything i need to drop it in the GL. do some major trimming, 30" tires, 2" lift, bumpers front and rear, maybe sliders too. and wheel and DD it while building up my impreza.

Been looking for somebody putting the ej18 into an L series. Everybody throws in the 2.2s. Looking forward to this! Hopefully one day I'll be plucking the ej18 out of my brother's impreza, if he ever gets rid of it!

the only reason im throwing th eej18 in there is cause i'll have have to pull it out of my impreza to stuff my franken turbo motor in it.

What better reason could there be then? Two nice upgrades to two nice 'roos.

I think the ej18 is my favorite engine. They seem to be *the* most reliable engines built. I've heard of countless examples with 300+k on them, and the one I mentioned previously in my brother's Impreza is getting up there. Last time I saw his car he was at 230k, and that thing runs just amazingly well.

i've got somewhere around 240k on my ej18. i do plan on freshing it up a tad, maybe head gaskets and little things but nothing major.

 

 

and i dug the wagon to my house and i plan on having the motor in it tomorrow maybe this weekend.

got the motor rebuilt and its ready to drop in, should have it in tomorrow!

dropped it in the car and ran out of time to get it all done up before school.

change of plans, due to rust and my car ADD, i found myself a nice 88 celica AWD that im planning on dropping  a5.0 into and making a fun rwd beater. so im parting out my impreza wagon. which leaves me with a good ej22T i need ot find a home for. and i think i know a certain little GL that will need an EJ series motor soon
