racerxmanvfr750 Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 Hello all Replaced the engine in my 97 Outback with a 2.2lt from a 95 Legacy. Standard trans to an automatic. Finally sorted out the engine rough idling issue. But now, trans fluid is leaking from below. Lots. Seal? Has anyone else have these issues. Fairtax4me Posted July 18, 2013 Share Posted July 18, 2013 If you removed the torque converter from the trans you probably cut the input seal on the trans. Standard trans to an automatic. so the spec on the car now ? 97obw chassis 95 ej22 engine with an auto trans? if yes? it could be the input seal in the trans, as mentioned. or it could be the trans fluid cooler lines that go to the radiator. you need to crawl under and see where it is coming from. Gloyale Posted July 19, 2013 Share Posted July 19, 2013 Could be input seal resulting from improper seating of torque converter. Hopefully the Torque converter was seated all the way?
