September 15, 201312 yr I would like to repaint the valve covers in the original color, does anyone have a color code for it?
September 15, 201312 yr No ... but the Holts Dupli-Color Auto Spray DSH15 - Holden Marina Blue or the GM / Pontiac Blue colour in the VHT range are a close match ... Taken from here : http://www.ausubaru.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23577&highlight=colour+code Add : another site worth looking up : http://www.paintscratch.com/touch_up_paint/Subaru/ Cheers, Bantum ... September 15, 201312 yr Author Thanks but I thought the valve covers where more greenish than the air filter box?
September 16, 201312 yr Not really ... I'm pretty sure they all came out of the factory with same colour, it's more likely that they have faded over time, with heat & oil stains etc ... Add: I'd check that as it may only apply for Australian models, some later models here did have black covers ... Can you Post up a pic of yours to confirm ... ? Add : I also recall something about there being variations in cover colours for different capacity / type engines ... Cheers, Bantum ... Edited September 16, 201312 yr by Bantum
September 16, 201312 yr Author I also have an EA71 with black valve covers, those I would like to respray in the earlier color...
September 16, 201312 yr There'sone that has the darker greenish valve covers. Iv'e seen that darker color in them couple of times. In EA71 I have the light blue ones in right now and that seems to be pretty normal color for them around here.
September 16, 201312 yr I think chrysler turquoise is pretty close to the color of those valve covers:
