Can someone tell me how to get it out of there and change it?

 

85 GL wagon

Remove the stereo. Then the ashtray part comes out. The bezel around the sterop just snaps in, and then there are 4 screws to remove the stereo. You can pull it out enough without undoing the harness, but you will have to unplug the antenna. The ashtray should be on with dash illumination. 

 

You can remove the ash 'tray' itself by pushing down on the metal part to pull it out all the way. Buy you will still want to pull the stereo to get to the bulb itself.
