October 8, 201312 yr car dies everytime i brake i found lots of foamy fluid in my air filter and around it i was told blown head gasket by a friend if so how much to replace or would it be in my best instrest to buy a new car
October 8, 201312 yr Sounds like it needs some T.L.C. and bonding time with tools and parts... These cars are easy to work on (kind of) and very forgiving.... fix it?
October 8, 201312 yr Oh yeah, very savable. This "foamy" stuff, is it like puke yellow? If you open the oil filler, is it under the cap as well? Are you losing coolant? Shutting off at a stop could be a load/idle problem. I assume it's carb'd? Do you see any evidence of leaks (i.e. wet gaskets or wetness) around the intake or carb base?
October 8, 201312 yr Author yes to the yellow foam and yes to draining coolant and yes carb'd but havent seen anything other then that
