October 11, 201312 yr Hi ALL!So I'm still looking to replace my crashed '01 GT Wagon. It's hard to find a '01-'04 GT Wgn, here in the Western Corner of MAss. I don't want a Turbo ('05 ....) What is the real difference between a '03 "L" and a "GT" ? They kind of look the same ! THANKS, Ted
October 11, 201312 yr L's are a base model car. GT's are on the same level as an Outback just built for a different purpose... I think the suspension is a little different, and they use Outback 4.44 gear ratio's. I could be wrong on that, but I know there is not much difference between them
October 11, 201312 yr GT has bigger aluminum wheels, bigger sway bars, shorter FDR. Usually has leather seats, sunroof, and more sporty bumper styling. L has 15" steelies (hub caps), cloth seats, not much else. Cars101.com has all the differences listed in the archive section.
