I have a 2002 Subaru Legacy GT Limited, I just bought a used trans with 80m miles, everything inside looked perfect, nice and clean. After installing it I found out that I have no reverse. Will not move at all, not an inch. Any help or suggestions would be great help.

Make sure no codes... then check linkage ajustment... ie do you brake lights turn on?... whe reverse enguaged as the sensor does sonetimes control the lights... do you hear or feel any load on the trans... and when you say inside did you open it?? ... may I ask why you opened a presumably good auto trans? And yur posted in the wrong section.

will the shifter go all the way to 1 ?

 

did the trans come with a warranty?

 

how many miles on the trans?
