2006 B9 Tribeca Troubles...

Featured Replies

Hello,

I have a 2006 B9 Tribeca and all at once I lost the Radio, CD player, the NAV info Screen, DVD Player, interior lights, the temperature indicator on the climate control knobs, and the garage door opener.  The gauge control lights seem a bit dim too but that could jut be my imagination...

Nothing flashing or blinking just not working. It does not come on when the car is started totally dead. I have checked EVERY fuse in the car and all are good.

Any suggestions?

Thanks
Joe

I don't have wire diagrams for one of these, but most of these Subarus have a common ground connection for everything in the center console. It's bolted to the bottom corner of the dash cage behind the trim. Right about where the dash trim meets the carpet. Usually one on each side.

Bad alt

Hi and thank you...there are only a few systems affected...wouldn't a bad alternator affect the car system wide?   Don't get me wrong an alternator I can do and it's easy so I'm all for this being the problem I just thought if it was going I would see all systems failing not components.

A cheap muti meter can tell you lots CV 13.5- 14.5 volts no more than 14.75 no less than 13.5 and 0 ac voltage have seen many alts of late that loose one diode and only works about 60 % but still works. Will ushaly cause a dim battery light thats very slightly on or flickering
