they started in 1990 with the introduction of the legacy. it went through some revisions/changes in 95 I believe, and think they ended it a little while ago. the boys on nasioc would probably know when it ended.

Started with Legacy, ended with base models b4 re-model.

My '00 has a 2.2 so it must be after that. i think just from trying to find parts for mine that they stoped somewhere around 03 with imprezas.
