Tires for a B9 Tribeca

Featured Replies

Hi,

Any recommendations for tires for a 2006 Tribeca?  The place where we got our last set of tires says that they are (and must be) performance tires and as such we will be replacing them about every 24 - 26,000 miles...seems a bit hokey to me.

I know that you must run with equal tires all the way around and they have to properly fit the vehicle but that seems a bit off, and at $180 per tire gets pricey.

Thanks in advance!

Maybe that's how you drive (not that there's antything wrong with it). Mine still has the original set at 62,500 miles. I know it will have to be replaced due to age.

The girlfriend has General Grabber HTS on the Tribeca. They seem like all around nice tires. Quiet, good dry traction, okay in the wet, very high treadwear rating.

read reviews at tirerack and other online tire joints.

there's nothing special about them, compare, price, and buy some tires.

in general newer cars are going with larger and thinner side walls...and tire expenses are increasing.

Thanks to all...Switched mechanics after 8 years just too many things not lining up correctly...Going with a 65,000 mile V rated tire.  Thanks for your help, you made the decision easier!  Now if anyone wants to pay for them that would be GREAT!!!  :D
