just got it back on the road 2 days ago with a restored 2.2 and lovin it. Already got a ticket 20mph over.....opps!

 

Anyhoo do we have suggestions? Would like to put it up about 4"ish

check out the archives on this forum. Search for lift on a Legacy. I haven't done it, but read enough to know that transplanting in the strut suspension from a Legacy Outback is the route to take. I remember pictures posted of the transplant results. Pixs will give you a visual of what your car can look like.

Don't speed. Save your money. Lifting applies to the advice given for 1990-1999 models

Outback struts give 1", Forester springs give 1". Outback struts give clearance to run up to about a 28" tire IIRC. Which will give you another 1.5-2" compared to a stock size tire.

 

You could also find a 2" lift block kit, but that requires much more work.
