trunk lid damaged, need a fix or replacement

Featured Replies

I have a 91 legacy L and I damaged the trunk hitting it with my truck.

I have found a suitable trunk lid but it is from a 92.

The body looks exactly the same to me, there is just a difference in the reflector (between the two tail lights)

The yard I found the lid at tells me it will not work for a 91.

Anyone have any experience with this?

The body type's look identical to me but was there a change in 92?

i'm not familiar with 90 - 94, so i can't say.

but if there was a change as small as the badging or the reflector,

then the interchange software will think it will not fit.

i think.

when in fact it may.

but i do know there were some small body changes in between 90 - 94.

i don't know exactly when or what kind.

but to make it easier look here:

http://www.car-part.com

put in your zip and sort by distance.

i would ignore any difference suggested by turbo vs. non-turbo.

It should physically fit, but the reflector may look different, but that should swap over.

There are monor body differences between 90-91 and 92-94. Thise differences are the hood, headlight, and bumper. I don'y think the trunk lid can be any different, perhaps the rear bumpers are slightly different, but everything between these 2 facelifts will swap between all 90-94
