mattocs
Is it possible to have gas mileage lowerd greatly by a cone-shaped air filter? I don't know if its just me being paranoid or what. I usuly get 24MPG in my Outback...and it seems that i'm getting like a little over half that this tank...but it might be me. Please...any help would be cool. If it does lower gas mileage...I have to buy some duct tape and rubber sement so I can hook up the old one (I cut off the parts that stick out and bolt on to the box so I could get the cone on there )
Tiny Clark
I think most of the black plastic stuff on cars is ABS. You could try some ABS cement (for black sewage lines) from Home Depot or some other place like that.
Setright
Most likely the open filter is causing you to floor the throttle more often ;-) Try babying it for a while, I am sure you mileage will improve.
mattocs
20MPG. Plus i've taken it up to 5000 RPMS many times...and i'm sure that KILLS the mileage. So i'll let it go for a while. Thanks.
