88 Wagon drive shaft info

Featured Replies

Have an 88 Loyale 4wd wagon....needs a rear drive shaft.....can't find one anywhere.....or, a place to have this one rebuilt.....maybe, someone can help me out.

I live in S Cent Pa.

you can try a junk yard.  any loyale wagon with the same trans should fit.  find a local driveline shop, or machine shop and they can probably build you a 1 piece for around $100.  theres a lot on these drivelines that aren't supposed to be repairable so replacement is the easiest option.

The rear part of the 2 piece driveshaft is the same between automatic and manual trans for 85-89 GL, DL, RX, 90-94 Loyale, and 85-92 XT.

The u-joints are staked in, a toyota part number is compatible. Anyone experienced with toyota or nissan driveshafts should be able to do the work.

Any idea of the part # or what nissan or toyota to look for to get the ujoint
