have a whole 77 dl wagon a'm parting but can use axle boot from 99-01 outback is very similar size just bit tight on inside boot shaft size

In what shape are your 77's boots?

And thank you for the new fab advice. I will look into it.  I feel as if putting a new fab on there may be the way to go.
