How to tell if FPCU is bad

Sorry to start another post about something that already had a post going, but I couldn't get an answer for this specifically. 

 

How can I tell if a fuel pump control unit is bad? How do I test it?

 

I'm not getting power to my fuel pump all of a sudden and I've been told that it could be the FPCU. How do I tell if its toast or not? Or if this might be something else causing this, please feel free to chime in.
