Georg
Hi! my '91 Legacy BJF Wagon has over 290k on the clock with it's first clutch. Thinking about maybe replacing the clutch at some time i would also prefer to replace the balk rings in my gearbox too. Has anybody of you replaced those balk rings of a Legacy-Gearbox and is maybe able to tell me something about the required effort and if it needs some more parts (like sealings etc.)?? Tanks alot!! Greetings from Germany Georg
Gloyale
Replacing anything inside the trans will require a complete disassembly and a press. Once you open it, you may as well replace the main shaft bearing, and the pinion bearing.....and all the seals. Unless you are having issues.....I would just change the clutch.
