WTB - I think it's a pressure regulator for the fuel breather line.

Anyone know this part? It sits in the back of the body in the wagon, passenger side, behind the plastic. Part of the fuel breather line.  It was buzzing really loud for a while so I bypassed it with little effect, but now...

hi,

that looks like a thing i looked up one time to find out what it did,,  and from what i could get from my search was a  anti gravity vent,  it mounted  high up ( above the tank level) in the venting system and if inverted will close or open ( not sure how it functions) but it had to do with fuel venting control in case of a roll over accident.  i do know it is supposed to be mounted a certain way because if inverted it closes ( opens)  not sure,,  but point is it would be backward from normal operation.   it is not electrical in any way , but is supposed to work by gravity operation.  i can't tell you which end is supposed to be up or down.

Yeah.  It has a little arrow on it for orientation, but if that is all it does it is probably not the cause of my problems....
