Hello my impreza is starting up strangly.it starts right up but then it bogs to 100 rmps sometimes itll shut off and I need to give it gas to start most of the time itll waver a bit then settle at 1200 rpms. It brought up the code for the tps sensor.im wondering itll be better to get a used tps or a new aftermarket. There is also a 96 legacy at the junkyard would the tps work on my impreza?

I was going to guess you may have a vacuum leak somewhere or a hose unplugged. My Impreza did the same type of thing after having the passenger side of the engine apart for HLA service. Forgot to plug in the big vacuum hose at the airbox. As soon as I did, the idle was normal and she was purring like a kitten again.

I checked all the hoses and found no leaks.pretty confident it is the tps going bad.
