April 13, 201411 yr Folks, First understand I am NOT very good with a multi-meter. That is, I do a lot of touching this and that, not really knowing if I'm in the right spot(s). That said; when the key is in accessory position and/or the car is running, with wiper switch "ON" I can hear the motor "clicking" (doesn't really sound like arcing). when I touch the left (from the front) connection on the motor, the meter reads 11volts when I touch the right " " the meter reads 0 volts. Bad Motor????
April 14, 201411 yr Have you tried disconnecting the wires going to it, and running wires directly from the battery? If that works, you might have a bad ground. If not, then it's likely the motor.
April 14, 201411 yr Author I'll try running jumpers. Do I need to be careful of Positive and Negative? If so, which terminal on the motor corresponds?
April 14, 201411 yr pos or negative will just influence what direction it spins. Its just a motor afterall. While it may be clocked so it will spin one direction faster than the other way it should still move.
April 14, 201411 yr Author Using jumper wires directly from the battery to the wiper motor I got; tic-tic.......pause......tic-tic.......pause.......tic-tic No 'running' of the motor.
April 15, 201411 yr try taking the motor and gearbox apart and inspect it for damage. If everything checks out assemble it with new grease and try it again.
