There was an ea71 5 speed? I can tell you from experience my ea71 4 speed is geared too low to be on the freeway. At 70 or so its right around 4000 RPM which is too high for me to be comfortable for any extended period of time.

Yup!  I have 5 speed at the moment.

 

But there are no freeways in NZ.  Mostly I stick to the speed limit these days (father of one....).

 

When I'm on my own I like to rip around on tight winding roads.  Just wondering if it would be more fun in a 4 speed.

i believe... now dont quote me here... that the 5 speed is a stronger tranny?
