April 24, 201411 yr So I'm fiddling with my vacuum lines making sure no cracks or leaks and I pulled the little elbow hose going to the transmission and it leaked fluid for a second then stopped, probably a spoonful? Is this normal? Doesn't seem to be but I also was thinking it was getting AT fluid up into the vacuum lines but it was just right at that elbow. Thanks in advance:) Disco.
April 24, 201411 yr There should be no fluid in the vacuum lines. The vacuum modulator has gone bad and is allowing fluid to be pulled into the engine.
April 24, 201411 yr Author Yea I figured, well on with the quest of getting the part...yay. Not having my Suby long finding out it's hit or miss on availability from the dealer or aftermarket. And the yard by my house has 1 wagon left but it's a MT... So does this just screw out or does the pan have to come off?? I'm currently having no issues with shifting at all or anything else for that matter so what does this guy do??
April 25, 201411 yr It does just unscrew but watch out for a short rod that will come out with it ( or not ). I lost it the first time I ever did one about 20 years ago and had a heck of a time figuring out what was wrong till I found a diagram.
