1995 2.2 Lifter Replacement - genuine or 3rd party

Featured Replies

Has anyone replaced the lifters on a 2.2 with Rock auto or other 3rd party lifters versus genuine Subaru lifters?

Looking for opinions.  I need to replace 2 on intake of cyl #1 and can't get the factory ones till next week, but can get DNJ ones this week.  Car is not moving and I need it to move if you catch my drift.

What do you all think?

Are you sure the feed hole in the rocker isn't plugged? Having both bleed down is almost always an oil feed issue. Not hard to disassemble the rocker shaft and clean everything out.

Not sure about OE vs aftermarket on these. DNJ seems to make decent parts but I haven't heard anything about the lifters specifically.
