Noob Driveline Question

Featured Replies

So I just bought a '92 Loyale wagon and I realized I don't know something rather pertinent: is this car front-wheel driven or rear-wheel driven when the 4WD is disengaged? I haven't had much of a chance to test it out, and I don't have a lift to put it up and check (I know, major oversight on my part) so please forgive the noob-level ignorance. Thanks!

I wouldn't say unfortunately. My friend has a farm car with broken front axles the they just run with the 4wd locked in and it barely moves off road due to the lack of rear weight. It's a donut machine though.
