I recently bought a 2011 premium Outback 2.5l  and have not found the seats to be very comfortable.  Test drove a limited and the seats with the 10 point adjustment were much more comfortable and had many more ways to adjust the seats for comfort. I am tall so bottom seat cuts into my legs even when I tilt the seat.  

 

Can you add the limited seats to a premium?  Driver side is more important but would love electric adjustable for passenger side as well.

Where they are the same model and everything they should be able to be swapped. The older Subarus were very easy. Most of them would swap between eachother with very little issues.

So to clarify I could put limited seats in the premium driver side and passenger side with 10 way power for driver and 4 way power for the passenger? There is power capability for passenger side?

I bought gold plus warranty extension to 7yr/100000 miles. I am guessing that new seats would not be covered if I put them in. Correct?

You could have a dealer do it and charge you a ridiculous amount, or you could get down and dirty yourself and junkyard find it. Although leather seats out of a new car are going to be expensive too.

 

Last June i bought my wife a 2013 Outback Limited precisely based on the fact that the premium seats were awful to sit in. As far as the power hookup goes, maybe there is a plug under the factory seat? The power seats are going to have their own controls and what not built into them so thats good. I guess what it comes down to is, how much money do you have to throw at it?

Physically they should bolt right in. There should be a connector below both seats for the airbag sensors, this may be what the seat uses for a power source also. The only way to know 100% for sure is to confirm the connector/same on both.
