Well so I got the passenger side EA81 suspension in my wagon. It looks great and so today I figured I would go ahead and since its not raining, I'm gonna do the driver side as well. So I unbolt the EA71 suspension and I bolt in the control arm and my new stabilizer bar. At first it seems that i made the bar too short but them I realized that the actual control arm is not sitting where it should be. Its too far forward!!!! Well now I don't know if this is supposed to sit stock like this on EA81 cars because it sure isn't sitting where it should.

 

So my questions for all you experienced ones is:

Why does it sit like this? Is it bent or tweaked or is it supposed to be like this? Does anyone have any pictures of a driver side EA81 control arm??? Help please!!!!

It should be just a mirror image of the pass. side arm.

well, those ARE off the 84, so it is possible it's tweaked Compare it with the other arm and see...

well I'm not in the mood to pull the other arm off because it is such a b**** to get in and out. But yeah, I'm thinking its prolly tweaked and I'm just gonna get another one from the yard. Lets hope the next one isn't tweaked cause then maybe I'll just make my own tubular a-arms:brow:
