Engine Repairs too high-Need to retire vehicle

Featured Replies

My 2006 Subaru Outback just died the other day. My mechanic told me that it requires SIGNIFICANT engine work to repair.  At this point I don't want to invest the money and would rather retire the vehicle.  It still has some great parts to it though and so I was hoping to sell it to a parts place or something like that.  Does anyone have any suggestions?

How many miles and general condition, engine work notwithstanding.

in general - list it in the classified section here or subaruoutback.org - someone may very well buy it as-is.

I am a few hours north and am looking for a good Subaru to fix for my wife to drive. I'd be interested, and if not me, someone would buy it to fix it and drive. It's probably worth more that way than selling it to a junkyard.
