1998 Legacy GT P0480 code and overheating

Featured Replies

okay so i have a 1998 lgt with an ej22e swapped into it. it throws a p0480 code (fan 1 control circuit) and occasionally it would get hot. (very rare though) the relays have been replaced the fans do work if hardwired. if you turn on the a/c the fans do come on. sometimes its only one fan though. today i replaced the temp sensor that controls the fans and now its not even driveable because it gets hot. any one else have this issue? the fuse is good and every part of the system seems good. anyone else having this issues? any input would be awesome! thank you in advance!

this is a wiring issue,

at least it was before you replaced the temp sensor.

recheck your work,

check the wires and connectors for both the temp sensor and the fan.

check the ground wires for the fan on the frame rails next to the radiator.

Find the issue? This code returned for me. Thank goodness the others haven't. Probably not the temp sensor then huh?
