Quite some time ago I posted a thread asking if anyone was in the Lousiana area.

Someone replied from Alabama I think, and that was it.

I have since met another BRAT where I'm from in New Orleans, and one other 'under construction' near Baton Rouge, but I figured I should widen my 'territory'.

 

Is anyone from the LA, TX, MS, AR, AL, OK, TN, FL area up for a meet at some point?

I really like the people on this forum and would love to spend some time with some real soobie lovers.

 

I'm picturing a meeting point for a weekend somewhere in the middle area of all interested, a little cruise, over night camping, pot luck meals... etc.

There is a pretty decent size Subaru following in Texas. We haven't had an "official" state meet in a couple years. However there are shows or events that pop up. The most recent was the "Big Event 6" in Houston. Here's some info, http://www.gillmansubaruhouston.com/the-big-event.htm.  They have done it every year for the past several years.  So that may be something to plan for next year.

I'm in Austin, TX. If there was an old gen event or one that was a good mix like WCSS then I'd for sure be interested.

If we got a few more folks interested would you be up for some just some camping and a cruise? I don't think I have the means or the time to create a full on event like WCSS, but I'd love to just hang out with some old gen'ers and ride around.

This was a state meet we had back in 2002.  We actually had a brat at it.  I think he had the oldest vehicle, and my 90 legacy was the next oldest.
